RajaHasan.Com Tips of Sri Vani
Thank you friends for the love and appreciation you showed towards me. I did not expect such positivity towards a silent member. And Dr. Murali, reading your comment really made me happy. I had read lot of your posts and valuable tips from time to time and a comment coming from you is purely an honor. Thank you Sir.
Today I would like to talk about simple topic “Eating before singing”
But before we talk about singing I would like to tell you that anyone can learn to sing. It is not true that singing is only for those who are born with the talent or have great voice. With proper learning techniques and practice, anyone can develop a singing voice. Singing is not just for professional singing, it is for our inner satisfaction or for a hobby. So please don’t think you are not a singer – we each one of us has a singer in us, we only have to polish and learn the skills.
Coming back to today’s topic “Eating before Singing” – I would say, if you are really hungry, you can eat but make sure you don’t over eat. At least try to give minimum an hour’s time in between your singing and meals. Especially if you are to be performing in competitions or let’s say you will be singing in your family gathering, you should avoid singing soon after your meals – this will help you avoid “gunk” throat. We have seen that after meals we get strong temptation to clear throat which is not good during singing. But in case you have to sing after meals then make sure to eat light. Drinking fluids like water and green tea will help you not clear your throat.
Thank you once again

Hi Sri Vani,
Thanks for acknowledging my response. I am a student of Music and hence I am there where ever Music is discussed. I am looking forward to more and more articles from you.
I am a little curious going by your name. What is your Mother Tongue and where are you from?
Thanks,
N. Murali Mohan
