Vishal-Shekhar make their Telugu Debut: Chintakayala Ravi
Vishal-Shekhar’s first ever score for a Telugu film is now out - with Chintakayala Ravi’s music released recently.
And not surprisingly, its is extremely delightful and enjoyable - never mind if you don’t understand the language. The one thing that surprises me is the fact that the entire soundtrack has a very limited “hindi influence”. However there is a trademark VS rapped composition Valla Valla Baby - which could end up as the feet-tapper of the album.
Interestingly, Vishal and Shekhar have stuck mainly to their regular singers - including Shankar Mahadevan, Sonu Nigam, K.K, Sunidhi Chauhan and Shreya Ghoshal. Vijay Prakash, who made a mark in the yesteryears Saregampa makes a delightful appearance with Bagundey Bagundey.
Oh Sunita (Nahin Chodunga) by Shankar Mahadevan is thoroughly entertaining. Also worth a listen is Sonu Nigam in Enduko and Shreya Ghoshal in Merupula.
In all, it is an album where Vishal Shekhar show their ability to adapt. Unlike Himesh Reshammiya who made a mess of the Dasavartham soundtrack. (Sorry, couldn’t resist the last line…)

Wow, I have listened the whole album VS have done a great job, I felt that music is similar to “Bachna ae haseeno”
Music is excellent but singing is not upto the mark.I felt there is a diction problem in Sonu nigam and Shreya ghoshal’s singing,I find them as same old ghisa peete hua singing, Shankar mahadevan has asusually exelled,I liked the voice of Vijay Prakash in the song “Bagundey “. “Merupula” is the best amongst of all, especially the tabala is excellent,I loved it
I wish this album will be a super duper hit and VS will get more opportunities in Telugu,I wish them all good luck.

Yes, Merupula is the best of all the songs. It is a pleasant surprise to know that Vishal-Shekhar have composed for a Telugu movie. Although Sonu Nigam had little diction problem, it is a song that suits him.
Of all the last years’ participants in Zee SaReGaMaPa, I have always thought Poonam would make it big in Telugu movies, if she can learn to speak some Telugu. I am sure Music Directors over here will be after her. And she has the potential and ability to dominate the South in fact.

Bagundey Bagundey is my number one. I already listen it 100 times. I am addicted to Hansika voice . how sweet it is? I never listen such a sweet voice. My favorite singer is Shreya Goshal . But Hansika voice is 10 times sweeter than Shreya Goshal . who is Hansika ? I want to see her picture.
