Ek Se Badhkar Ek - Grand Finale - Saturday Night
Finally, the Ek Se Badhkar Ek Grand Finale got underway.
Not a full attendance – with quite a few of the eliminated contestants keeping away. But Raja Hasan and Jaswir Kaur came in – both dressed in yellow – a signal to the jaundiced-eye–Abhijeet Maamoo?
Mandira on the other hand was dressed in killer red with a chidiya-ka-ghosla hairstyle.
The opening sequence saw short snips of Raja performing to “Ya Ali” and “Beedi”.
Pakistani band Fuzon came in with a sparkling performance of Mora Saiyaan. They followed it with a brief but extremely session on Kinna Son – where both Raja Hasan and Sanchita joined in. (Watch out for this clip with Rameez Mukhtar and Raja putting in a magical session).
The first individual singing award went to Aishwarya (who beat fellow nominees Aneek and Meenal) for his Saiyaan performance. Aishwarya put in his performance for the night singing Tum hi ho.
Shoaib Akhtar came in and sang a few lines of his favourite Kishore Kumar number – Aate Jaate Khoobsoorat…
Now, a strange twist – EBSe announces voting results for North Zone (So were internet votes counted?) – Raja And Jassi leas by 49K votes.
Next, Ahmed Khan puts in his performances – including a wonderfully done Rangeela theme with Jassi and Kushal.
A couple of consolatory awards next: Best of the Rest Pair – Aneek and Sayantani. And the What-The Fish Best Costume – Aneek Dhar for his pink pants.
In the final segment – Sayantani and Aneek put in their respective performances.
Esha Deol makes an appearance with her Hema Malini accent in tow. And then she announces voting results for East Zone – where Kushal and Sanchita lead by 61K votes.
At the end of the day, Kushal-Sanchita lead the votes by around 12,000 votes.

Isn’t this the first time we have heard “Beedi” in Raja’s voice?
yes it is the first time we heard raja sing beedi… and he sang superbly…………. and even the kitna sona tujhe rab ne banaya with mukhtaar and sanchita was just fabulous…. i loved the alaaps both of them took… wow.. i can imagine raja perfectly in any rocking band and he surely will rock.

at the end of the episode when kushal was leading with twelve thousand votes i thought thank GOD we know the result .

I didn’t like the so called grand Finale nothing great they have done but the results r gud>.i mean everybody performed gud but it was not like GRAND FINALE.
I think Zee wanted to save money this time.They earned so much of money from this prog. but did not invested in Finale.

Moreover, when those consolatory awards were declared for Aneek & his jodi, I could not understand whether I should laugh or cry. Dhannya Ho, Zee t.v. & its Creative Team , for creating these special categories for awarding prizes for Aneek & his jodi !

oh my God.. i didnt know there were blasts yesterday… i am sooooooooooo sorry and sad to know. its an cowardly act to take life’s of the innocents.. they sure are going to hell!!
I am also still in shock shashiji and raffu.
especially the places which were targeted reveal a very depraved mind indeed. so many young lives lost and my son was in central secretariat on the way back from college exactly half an hour before the blasts and I am sure there were other children of other parents too who got injured or who died, this is really disgusting.
