Our dear member Priya got us some breaking news from the rumor mills and rumors say that Raja Hasan was safe this week. Thanks to all friends who voted day in and day out to keep Raja safe. Good going friends!
Priya also heard the news that the jodi’s this week who were in “Shani ka Ghera” were Meenal/Abhishek and Aneek/Sayantani with Aneek/Sayantani getting eliminated.

this is totally unexpected and I am also feeling uneasy about this new development. We always expected an aneek-raja plus partners finish because somewhere deep down we do believe after the saregamapa 2007 fiasco that it is all fixed and rigged. and we`expected raja to win.
now it seems to me to be quite unpredictable. is raffu right? it does seem as if kushal and abhishek are the favoured ones. Meenal is so lousy, her voice literally hurts the ears and she certainly seems to hold no promise for the industry, not even an original voice. I also feel that they were the ones i expected to be eliminated due to meenal not abhishek
anyway having said that let’s hope that raja wins this as he really really wants this to happen. and let’s in fact increase our efforts now that we are almost at the end.

Agree with you Padma - have a nasty, uneasy feeling that Zee is trying to set up the finals between Kushal & Abhishek - both the judges go ga-ga over them - not only over the guys but also over the gals - Meenal and Sanchita… So we can expect even more drama in the coming weeks. Hope time proves me wrong - no one will be happier than me if that turns out to be the case. Why do I get the feeling they are using Raja again to get votes and make even more money….???

oh wow This is a breaking news. I was so scared last week seing that raja had the lowest marks, Wow Raja toh raj hi hay.I am so so glad the Aneek and shayantini is eliminated…..Sanchita and kushal should be eliminated tooo.

ESBE has gone all wrong for Zee. The show was supposed be something to bring in all supporters of Saregamapa 2007 back to Zee - and in the process, introduce them to Challenge 2009. However the plan has gone horribly wrong. They brought in all vote pullers - from Raja, Aneek, Poonam, Sumedha, Harpreet to Mussarat. Everyone of consequence except Mauli and Amanat. What they thought was that the show will help boost challenge 2009’s TRPS.
Instead, everything went wrong.
People started comparing 2007 singers with 2009 - as a result, may people simply gave up on 2009 - stating that the quality is simply isn’t good as the earlier edition. As a result, in spite of erratic timings, ESBE gets a “relatively” larger audience that SRGMP. In marketing terms - it is pure canibalisation - where ESBE had eaten up SRGMP.
The fact that people like Katrina and the Kkapoors are on the show, simply points to the fact that ESBE is getting better coverage that Zee anticipated.
As a result, ESBE had to be extended by a few weeks instead of finishing off a few weeks ago. And so you see Ravi Kishen leaving for so called-South Africa, whereas he is actually hosting another show on Colors. The Abhijeet “I quit drama” was similar thing. All it required was an extension for a little more money.
The same extension caused many other problems. Raja and Amit Paul were already booked for Detroit. Raja cancelled his, but Amit Paul (and possibly Rajshree had other commitments) - went on the flight to Michigan.
Now you see The Big Boss dramas - where possibly some ESBE contestants should have been on the show, but couldn’t make it.
I strongly feel that Aneek and Sayantani’s departure has to do more with prior commitments (Of either of the two) rather than voting results or performing skills.
Now that ESBE is dragging on endlessly and mindlessly, it is neither helping ESBE or Saregamapa. And Zee, for once doesn’t have a solution.
When you explain it all like this - it makes sense, Manish.
So what happens once ESBE is done and over it - It has to end sometime soon. They cannot keep dragging it forever with just 3 jodis. Do you think all or rather most ESBE viewers will shift their attention to SRGMP 2009 with nothing interesting to watch any more?
Difficult question Shobha - on what happens after ESBE ends. Even Zee doesn’t have that answer - that’s precisely why they have dragged on with ESBE. What made things worse was no US telecast of SRGMP. Star VOI has already made a significant dent, so has Junoon. And I think Bigg Boss with its very very slick marketing will erode things further. And when II4 comes in, Godknowswhatwillhappen.
The point is - will fans of SRGMP 2007 (ESBE viewers) turn to 2009? Those who would, would already have done so. Further conversions are highly unlikely.
SRGMP 2007 - was slightly different from other versions - largely due to Raja. Raja’s unusual voice made non-tv show watchers (like me and many others) stick to the telly. This edition has no unsual voices - all are the typical playback variety. So I don’t expect people looking for singing talents to go and watch the show. (Plus no VS this time!)
Drama watchers however would stick to SRGMP!
That’s true. Even if I want to see SRGMP 2009 beacuse of Shankar, you-know-who’s presence spoils it almost completely for me. And this just after seeing a couple of episodes - I’m ready to give up - as you say, no Raja or Raja clone here and no one who is extra-ordinarily talented or unique or “different” (am beginning to actively dislike that word nowadays…
- has been so over used, and abused in SRGMP 2009).
Manish - just struck me - Sanober most likely would not have won the ESBE title and therefore the award money is not a big deal for her. But Aneek and Sayantani might have won and got the award money of 25 lakhs. Is Aneek going to get a lot more than that for whatever he is getting or gotten into? Just curious as to how all these things are done in the TV land… that’s all. Don’t ask me why I am even trying to figure out this game?
as for me saregamapa 2009 or SVOI are both a big NO NO.
same as manish, I got hooked on because fo Raja’s different voice and the decency and polished gentlemenly behaviour of VS and these two factors compensated for the presence of HR whom I could never ever bear even in small doses.
This time watched the first two episodes heard all the voices once and then never switched the TV on again. SVOI has somehow never interested me, dont know why maybe I am wrong. Junoon is a show that I try to watch but not hung up on.
Raja’s voice is what had made all the difference!!

and the drama is something I cant bear any more or even the compere’s voices or dramabazi just like mandira also

WAHI HR jo apne vested interests ko protect karne ke liye kuch bhi kar sakta hai.apne jameer ki awaaz ko bhi daba sakta hai.
main ye manti hoon ki himesh bhi raja ki gaayki ka utna hi kaayal tha jitne hum sab . lekin jeet wo apne contestant ki chahta tha.2005 main hui veneet ki haar ka zakhm abhi bhi uske dil main taaza tha.
isliye jeet to usse har keemat par chahiye thi.so ussne apne ego boost karne ke liye apne zameer ki awwaz ko daba diya . mera ye sochna hai ki kahin na kahin ye guilt uske mun main zarror reh gaya hoga
is guilt ko main kitni baar aur kis kis andaaz main uske chehre par dekh paati hoon ,isliye bhi main srgmp2009 dekhna chahti hoon.waise ek do namoone to main uske dekh hi chuki hoon .aksar wo ye kehta hai ki eklavya gharana bahut danger gharana hai, isi ka contestant raja ek superstar ban chuka ha.
raja ke charm ke after effects kya rahe ,mujhe yakeen hai ki kuch na kuch zaroor dekhne ko milega.
mussarat ke elimination ke round ko main aaj bhi nahi bhool paayi hoon. kis tareh HR ne raja ki insult karke apni frustration ko express kiya tha aur kis tareh main gusse se tilmila gayi thi.
us week maine bahut vote kiye the aur raja next week shayad top position par aaya tha.
mere husband aksar apne baccho se kehte the ki tumhari mummy ko maine aaj tak is roop main nahi dekha.
dekhte bhi kaise maine khud ko hi is haalaat main pehli baar paaya tha.
same is my story shashi ji. my children couldnt recognize me and my colleagues also. and my clients also. I became totally unprofessional as a translator and obsessed. My colleagues and my students saw a new reincarnation of me and were quite shocked.
and I also used to get so angry and frustrated and till the last minute Himesh was behaving as if Raja obviously would be the winner and the crowd was chanting Raja’s name and Raja also believed that he would be the winner and so did Aneek and the minute after the whole world had turned upside down. It was such a shattering experience, everyone had been taken for a ride and all the anguish, the long long mourning period etc etc. I NEVER ever want to go through it all over again and as for Himesh it is complete revulsion that I feel and that’s the reason I could never watch saregamapa 2009 and the other reason is that I dont find Raja’s magic during saregamapa days in any other contestant anywhere.
you are a very nice and generous person shashiji. I dont think I am. I can never forgive Himesh for all the insults that he heaped on raja in such a crass manner. I am not able to. and I never ever was a fan of Himesh but after this episode I have refused to even hear a Himesh song sung by anyone else. He and Ismail just ganged up against Raja and the episode with adnan sami where Vishal and Shekhar didnt turn up for the major part of the show and Raja was left alone to face all this, I was feeling so anxious for Raja, so protective and so helpless and frustrated since I could not physically be there to defend him. How much I hate reliving those days and how funny I feel abt feeling all this for someone that I technically dont know.

i am a pshychologist type of person (not professionally). meri human behaviour ko analyse karne main khasi dilchaspi hai.jab bhi koi human being koi galti ya gunaah karta hai to uski body language aur haav bhaav badal jaate hai .ab ya to wo ise chipane ki koshish karta hai ya over react karta hai.
mujhe ye dekhna hai ki pehli baat ye shakhs khud ko galat manta bhi hai ki nahi.doosri baat ki apne aapko sahi prove karne ke liye kya kya overacting karta hai.
ok then we both are very much alike. because I also do this very often and I have been told that I am very good at it and that I have a sixth sense!!
shashiji kaash mein appaki tarah hinustani/hindi me apne aap ko itni acchi tarah se express kar patee. unfortunately during my entire upbringing at home we just spoke tamil primarily and then english as a secondary language andwhen i grew up it was in delhi but most of my interactions were among tamil people or else in english except with autorikshaw drivers and other staff members. the place where i work i speak in french, tamil, hindi (very little-normal hindi day-to-day hindi) and english. Then when I got married it was with a kashmiri so the only common language was english followed by very little hindi (though now unfortunately we have been separated for ten years already) and my kids whose first language was tamil forgot all tamil when i went for a three month course to france and ended up speaking only english.
