Raja – The King of Hearts!
In today’s world when we come across so much of negativity, back biting, back stabbing, self praising and people not hesitating being part of any melodrama to gain votes or sympathy just to be in lime light, it is a breath of fresh air to see a soul who is different. A soul, who is modest, down to earth, keeps his feet firmly on ground, very talented, and possesses a very soft and loving heart. Yes that is our Raja!
Modesty is virtue. If we had to look for the meaning then we can say that modesty is often rendered as humility, shyness, or simplicity. A modest individual is a person who possesses positive characteristics - Someone who spreads positivity around, who shares his smiles, and also awes us with his genuine and caring nature along with his talent.
Sometimes people wonder if Raja is genuine, if he is true. I say “yes he is!” Maybe you can look into your heart for more answers. But I feel if he was not then you would not have been hanging around here. You would not have spent your valuable time on internet reading about him. At least I would not have. I also believe no one can put an act for long showing a different personality then what they are. Acting 24/7 is not possible - you might act for few days but not for long.
It’s been a year that we all know Raja now. Does it seem long or short?
Raja continues to win hearts. How? It is no wonder at all.
While he was a contestant on SRGMP, or when he toured for the concerts or as a playback singer, as a host in Middle East or participant in Ek Se Badkar Ek show, he continues to win hearts. Many fans from all around the world came back with loads of praises for him. He is a voice which moves you to tears.
Small recaps - I get pictures of Raja touching everyone’s feet including his mentors, musicians, judges and also the way he makes sure to compliment his fellow contestants and cheering them up. During the concert when the entire crowd was going crazy about Raja, he was making sure to give a hug to make sure his fellow stage participants are comfortable and happy. A lot of times I heard when he is busy with his recordings, concerts or even with his own personal life, if a fan has approached him, he never ignores – he goes out of the way to make sure they are comfortable. His small gestures create a great impact for life.
I remember reading that wonderful meeting between Padma and Raja at a traffic light. He without any hesitance came out from his car, stood near her car to speak with her and all this was on a “De Taali” Music Release day.
Amrita remembers crisp and clear when she visited him during day time, how he called her parents and took permission from them for their daughter to see the concert in night.
I remember very well how Raja offered the newsperson a bite when he/she approached him for an interview during the Iftaar party. He never speaks a word that is out of place.
He is very thoughtful and caring. He makes sure to thank his audience and his fans a million times and gives them their due credits. His small gestures cannot go unnoticed whether you speak about him helping Dia Mirza when she came all bandaged and wanted to clap, or he touching his mentors feet in middle of a performance, or singing for fans at their request doesn’t matter if it is middle of the road, or restaurant or even on phone.
Does he have to do all this? No! He doesn’t have to but he does it anyway because he feels it from his true heart. He likes to see his fans happy and makes every effort not to disappoint them or let them down.
A lot of times we speak that Raja needs us. But is that all that is?
Don’t we need Raja? Yes we do – Big Time!
People have the power to form a government; we don’t choose a government just to give the power to some party. We want to make sure a right candidate is selected to run the government who in return can maintain peace and harmony for us.
If we like Raja or are supporting him or doing something for him, it is not because of anything but it is definitely for the satisfaction of our inner souls. We need him probably more then he needs us.
People like Raja come only once in a while. Let’s treasure him for life!
