Goodbye, Raja Hasan.com…
Perhaps this Raja Hasan website has reached its sell-by date.
After prolonged discussions with quite a few people - including my family, friends and a number of regulars on this website, I have come to the decision that this site needs to be closed down.
And the call to pull things down has been prompted by Raja Hasan himself.
A few days ago, Raja Hasan mentioned that there were a number of complaints that were coming in regarding RajaHasan.com which in turn was hurting his fan base as well as career. Though he didn’t mention who had complained, it doesn’t require a lot to guess who his cronies were.
Among Raja Hasan’s complaints was the fact that this site was posting “spoilers” about his performances and that resulted in lower viewership. He had a few other things to say that were obviously fed to him by his new-found cronies.
I have no intentions of disputing Raja Hasan’s opinions and neither do I want to try and change them. If he feels that this website is hurting his fan base - it’s best to pull the shutters down. If this decision makes Raja and his friends happy - so should you Raja fans be.
It’s a fact that this website hasn’t been Raja’s mouthpiece ever. It never was Raja’s website. It was always the website of Raja Hasan’s fans. It was their voice. On this point, a number of people have argued that this website must go on - irrespective of Raja’s or his cronies’ opinions. And irrespective of Raja’s participation. I agree that it is very valid point - but for the fact that the passion for writing for Raja doesn’t exist in me anymore. And probably, I have better things to do in life, rather than getting involved with petty politics.
Yet, it has been a fascinating journey. We have built a wonderful community over the past one year. And I have made a number of wonderful friends as well. Thank you all for your support.
As for Raja Hasan, he has already arrived, he’s already a star. Probably he doesn’t need this website anymore. And as for you, his fans, you still have options of a number of websites where you can keep tabs on his progress. The only thing you might miss-is this wonderful community.
As for me, I would probably get on with life. Probably start a new blog. Who knows, it could be one of the new Saregamapa singers. For somebody probably a little less talented, but a lot more grateful.

UNBELIEVEABLE!!! ….. i hope you are not serious about this …. Agreed that there are alot of other sites out there that are dedicated to Raja … but i dont think there is a single one that has that range of topics and articles that this one does …
Raja’s Official website is there but what is that site there for ? only facts about what is going on with raja and his life …. On this site we have a chance to criticize him as well as applaude him on those facts and there are always funfilled articles that cause laughter but at the same time are serious ….
This site is based on Opinion and i think that is the biggest measuring stick for a star for his/her performance. Fans are made on Opinion and when they dont have a place to give an opinion then the fan following diminishes …..

I am stunned. I don’t post often, but I do visit this site regularly. I don’t understand the spoiler theory. isn’t Raja’s official website the first one to post spoilers everytime - including facts like the judge comments, marks he got & even who got eliminated? you have every right to be upset, you and other members of this community gave Raja the greatest back up any beginner would ever wish for. We all know how naive Raja could be especially after going back to Zee after what they did to him. Maybe he thinks that his association with them will bring him fame and fortune, they only want to use him because he has a large fan base which this fan site conntributed greatly in building…Zee did not make him who he is, his talent did and the support of his fans… which he needs to understand. Now i would like to extend my support to you and ask you to develop a new blog on music and singing in general where we could all enjoy discussing music and not necessarily dedicated to anyone in particular…. not any one who will one day let us down… thanks for everything and let us know what you decide to do soon.

I don’t think posting spoiler’s etc affects the viewership, infact it increases it, it keeps the fans more binded and involved. Anyways, doesn’t matter now …

I am sad that I won’t get to read any more of your articles. But, I fully support your decision to do this. If what you’ve written is true, which I have no doubts about, it is best you move on to things that are more important to you. I have to say I am a bigger fan of you as a human being for what you’ve done for someone totally unrelated to you and for no profit whatsoever. On the contrary, you’ve spent so much money for this website. If ever, you need support for anything and I am able to help you in anyway, please do not hesitate to ask me.
If you ever start a new blog, please post it on this website so that I can follow it. I would love to continue reading your writing - it’s always a pleasure. You should seriously consider writing a book. I will buy it, I promise you.

Please do not close this website, This is not raja’s website this belongs to us the fans. I visit this site not just for raja hasan but find out about other ppl like amanat poonam harpreet. you provided missing dtails that us fans could not get from watching tv like why this retard name abhigeet was upset over atif aslam song. details like why amanat is not seen on zee tv. Please keep this site going you don’t have to report on raja, We want to know what else is going on with other ppl like harpreet junaid mussrat and the rest of the gang from saregamapa from last year. It is raja’s loss that he feels this way about his site. PS this is the only site i visit every day i will be lost without it. I thank you from bottom of my heart for your hard work.
This is the second time we are going thru this! If it will be closed..we’ll definitely miss all those wonderful videos, articles etc etc.

In spite of understanding everything on the intellectual plane, I am still feeling shattered and really cant help feeling that way. Manish where else will I get to meet all these people Rahul with whom I hardly interacted, Mmao and my whole family for the past year? The whole thing really sucks and its really sad that Raja is falling prey to people who will end up undermining his fanbase instead of improving or sustaining it and on top of it all it is most unfair to someone like you.
anyway we all want you to know how much we look up to you, appreciate and admire all your singular effors and your unbeatable mind and style.

@Mmao, it isn’t that I forgot you. In fact there was the temptation to consult “senior in experience” people like you Shashiji and Kishanrajji before I took the decision. But the only reason I didn’t talk to all of you was that this would have been a lot upsetting.
Mmao, I understand your point of not paying heed to what others do, say or think. But when the person himself begins to question your intentions and possibly integrity, I really have no moral right to continue this campaign. “Assuming” it was all a misunderstanding (Which I don’t believe is)- it still doesn’t help. I would find it very difficult to write about Raja anymore.
There has also been the argument that by closing the community down - all I am doing is playing into the hands of the coterie. That is exactly they wanted. Perhaps yes. But what is the point in going ahead, when things will only get only worse with each passing day?
I would still want this community to thrive. But the only problem is it can’t be under Raja’s banner. It neither is fair to him nor me.
To be fair to Raja - he never asked for this website. To be fair to myself - I can’t continue in these circumstances. And the only ones unfairly treated are Raja’s own fans.

I think there is no need of closing the site. Just consider few things:
1. What was the purpose of starting the site by you?
( I think this site was started because you got impressed with Raja’s singing and it was purely a FAN site)
2. Are you still feeling the same about site what were you feeling in the beginning?
( I assume YES, you and other were Raja’s fan that time and still a fan and well wisher without thinking about personal benefit.)
3. Did you take permission from Raja to open this site?
( I think NO)
4. Is the purpose of site is still same or changed?
( I think purpose of site is still same by seeing the posts on the site)
5. Main concern is if closing the site is in the interest of Raja or not in OUR POINT OF VIEW.
(I think Closing site is not at all in interest of Raja, none of the fan sites for any celebrity is an official site but they are there. And it always helps the celebrity without being measured. It is intangible.)
In the end I will pray for Raja success as ever and will always remain his fan, I know what am I. I am just a fan and will remain a fan and appreciate his success..
I will suggest you to handle this issue without being emotional, If you are emotional and other will use you emotionally. So, sit back consult with people, look what is good for you and your family and then for Raja and then take your decision. Your decision should be independent of the concern about people who are around Raja but should be in the interest of Raja.
I am not very active member but never missed a single post here. Got so much from this site, will miss a lot if it get closed… Very SAD…

Jadoo bhai, being emotional is perhaps one of key traits of most Raja fans. Call it their strength, call it their weakness, but without emotions, there would hardly be a Raja fan base.
Coming to your point - I agree that any decision that has to be taken has to be in the interest of Raja.
But, the key point here is what we think is Raja’s best interests. And What Raja thinks is best for him. And the problem is that, both probably don’t match.
But we need to give Raja’s own opinion value - simply because he would be the best person to know what is right for him. We have to assume that he knows things better than we do.

@Kavitha, Raja has not accused any fans of his. He has problems with what is written on the site, which is entirely my responsibility.
I don’t think you should take any of these incidents as directed towards you. As a fan, probably you should still be backing him.
Manish, the respect which went with the admiration of Raja’s talent is gone …he may not have accused any of his fans but by NOT recognising HOW this site and its writings have contributed to building his fan base, he has really disappointed me !
I like his voice and singing still but that adulation is not there anymore…

This is the only website that I faithfully visit everyday.
I know its kind self-centred to only think about us the fans. But this is where most of us started to explore out of our box (joining forums, talking to people in the virtual world and becoming friends with them). This website to me and many has a place in our heart. I think I will be lost without the website.
I know that there are other websites but it is different…totally different. Mostly the spoilers are from there. It is not your fault!
Raja may have said or implied things that make u, RHB sir, lose your passion in writing about him but many of us are in the spell of your wonderful articles. I know that you are concerned about what Raja think but this website is run by his fan…I think one should be grateful to have such fan even though they are a newcomer in the industry.
On the other hand, I think that u also have to think about your welfare too. I think that it is also difficult on your part. It’s easy for us to say as we are not the one who is in your position. I just hope everything will turn out to be fine.
RHB sir, I sincerely hope that this is one more of your jokes and not close down the website. Anyway thank you for everything you have done.
Hi, i am not sure what Raja did say about this site as i get news about Raja only through this Site. It will be very unfortunate for Raja to hear that he has lost a great Fan like you. But i think there is a little miscomunication that must have happened, Raja is a good and humble human being and he surely must have not meant to hurt you or any of his fans. You know it better that news are always passed on after being edited. So i think you need to think again and again before actually closing the shutter.
Again I am Suprised to see and hear that there are fans like you who have actually created a website. So please think again about your decision.

Sad that you will be closing this site. Knowing earlier about spoilers does not decrease viewership. Infact it creates curiosity among viewers not to miss it. I am still confused as to who wants the site to be closed. Anyway it was nice to read all the articles posted here and indirectly we had developed some bonding among all the visitors too. But I personally feel Raja is only going to lose due to the closure of this fansite in the long run.

Not all of our family members have common interests. So after the programme on t.v. I was eagarly waiting to read your comments & all the time wondering how aptly you have brought out the feeings in my mind. So most of the time, I will end in writing , ‘I completely agree with you.’ Some times, I was also wondering after reading your article,how this point did not come to me. Manish , you being a matured & intelligent person, if you have chosen to close this site, it must have been for the valid reasons. So, I respect your decision. Bitwa I understand that our love for Raja brought us together but now we are family and this is our daily haunt and we find out things about the person who initially brought us together but this is now much more than that this is our daily ritual like prayer which cannot be given up, in the end right now I see it as Raja standing on one side and all of us on the other, if we supported him when he was a newcomer, he needs to support us and not destroy our home and family, so in essence the unknown fans that could become fans and help his career are more important than the fools who have been grabbing each and every person they know and saying listen to this boy he is wonderful? I’m heartbroken. When I read your message yesterday, I was so shocked… Not able to discuss about it with anyone. I just can’t believe Raja said those bad things. He must have been misguide by his cotery whose looking for their own success. There is other new forums for Raja that are not so popular. Please, wait a bit before reacting so strongly. Wait for those people to realize that we are not only Raja’s addicts, we’re also RajaHasan.com’s addict. You have my full respect, support and understanding.
I was most saddened to read your latest article, Manish. It also came as a great shock. Things, lately, were not only going very smoothly on the site with tons of exciting updates, but Raja, himself had posted messages. Somehow it just doesn’t make sense to me. I guess the general public cannot understand the true worth of rajahasan.com. But you must be aware that there are thousands of people who have appreciated and enjoyed your incredible writing skills and witty comments, myself included.
And to think you spent hours of your precious time and money on maintaining this site without expecting anything in return! How ungrateful can people be! I can be sure that the individuals behind all this will soon regret and realize their mistake. Anyway, you are the best person to decide about the future of the website. All I can do at this time is to thank you profusely for the immense pleasure your writing has given me for the past nine months and for giving me the chance to befriend such beautiful people on this site. And for that Manish, I am eternally grateful to you.

Sir RHB I want to extend my support to you in whatever you decide to do. Though Raja was the name that introduced me to this site and so many others (initially, when I used to do google search to get any bit of info. on him), I stayed on and also started commenting here because of you - you have maintained this site so beautifully and your presentation style is out of this world, the look and feel that you created here is what has kept me here. The people that I met on this site and the interaction between the people here has been so well mannered and decent - that’s what I think we will all miss, if this closes. Those other sites that came up - I might have visited them a few times and then never went back there and I know I will not go back either - I’m kind of spoilt now. I cannot have anything less than this.
I feel whatever you start next, we would like to be a part of it - you have a huge fan following now. So, please don’t forget us and let us know what your plans are for the future - we will support you, I hope you know that.
As far as Raja is concerned - I have nothing to say - I am confused and upset - and I believe it’s always best not to say too much than to say things rashly and regret it later. Spoken / written words cannot be taken back - right?
But, I am very, very upset - I wish I had not looked at this until monday. I would have had at least 2 days of ignorance - and right now, I really believe ignorance is bliss.

wish raja would react. post here or undo the harm done by just apologizing and realizing that he is following the advice of wrong people, people who will end up sinking him, highly egotistical people and that he is able to see who are his real genuine fans who wish him well and those who are there just to fight their egotistical battles and are bent upon taking revenge for whatever imagined slight.
As for other sites, honestly I dont see any of us switching to ANY other site ever. The kind of original posts and the wry humour and the bonhomie that manish has gotten us used to and which has made us all one big family (I was going to write one big happy family and then dropped the happy because we are actually very very sad right now) will never be found on the other site because everyone cannot be manish, in fact there is no one who measures up to him.
He has always been impartial and has always proved his points and that’s what we like because that’s what we believe in because we are discerning fans who also like to discuss other things and widen our horizons. we are not blind followers and never will be. So the other site I am sure is and will be out of the question. So if all this is to pull away the traffic then it is such a huge waste because all that it would have achieved is to put an end to something so precious and all the more so for raja himself!!!!!!!

@Manisha - where does the issue of forgiveness come from? I don’t think Raja has made any mistake. He has probably done what he thinks is best for him and his fans. He might be right. He might be wrong. I am nobody to judge that. Neither do I hold any grudge against him.
And the words like “hate” that Lavanya has used, are too strong words. It’s only that I no longer feel like writing for him anymore. It’s that simple.
Raja does not owe an apology to me - or anyone else for that matter.

i am clueless as to a perfect solution though i still maintain that raja owes you and us an apology and he needs to acknowledge that you have always been his most precious and selfless fan and acknowledge the precious time, effort and money that you have put in for backing him at most crucial junctures when his own “official site” was not even functional. You are the one he needs to thank for getting his enviable fanbase.
if this issue can be sorted out i feel that we will be able to rebecome more or less normal. but how to get this whole issue cleared is the million dollar question.

Honestly, I am a bit disappointed with the Raja bashing going on.
Let me try to clarify things once again. When Raja spoke to me regarding his complaints, he was as polite as he always is.
It is just that I had (and still have) a feeling that the trust between us had broken down.
It was a simple situation of two individuals thinking differently - something that happens very often in life. I see this as no reason why this should change your feelings for Raja.
Though I feel a bit let-down, I still have the same amount of respect for Raja.
Very importantly, you shouldn’t be coming to conclusions based on what one man has wriiten - even if that person is me.
Whatever my equations with anybody, whatever my opinions are about anybody, shouldn’t be clouding your thinking. If you have been a Raja fan for a long time - you would have several thousand reasons to be so.
Give those reasons a thought, before you try to pull him down.

i totally agree with mmao. I think we should just give it a little time and very soon whatever it was misunderstanding, differences in thinking, others’ influence etcetera etcetera will get cleared once and for all. It’s just a question of time.
We have built a great family and community here and the thing that we all have in common is our love for raja, his unbeatable voice and range and presentation as well as admiration and love for manish who has made us repeatedly aware of it and has sustained this love for raja and for our community and togetherness through his dedication and inimitable style of writing and excellence in maintaining such a beautiful and original site for such a long period of time.
Today we are feeling torn apart because our involvment with the object of our love and adoration and our involvement with the promoter and sustainer of our common object of adoration are clashing and we dont know how to react. Hence a few harsh words to our raja or a few harsh words to our manish. This indeed is what happens within any close-knit family.
Let’s not panic nor give up. We have to hang on and things I am sure will be resolved. Inshallah as raja loves to say.
Now let me fill you all in on today’s programme.
Raja was simply superb. Effortless singing absolutely marvellous in his most soothing and mellifluous honey coated voice. Amazing range and fantastic in both low notes and high notes. And a performance to match and looking absolutely dishy in stark black and the hair also looked black and amazing hehe my soutens!!!! Sounded better than the original and you know how good the original is and at one stage was on to some very seductive gyrating suggestive movements in perfect rhythm when the camera couldnt take it anymore (maybe zee tv was scared of mass female hysteria which knows no barriers of age, religion, caste, creed and so on) and chose to focus on the musicians instead (I could kill them for this!!!!!!!!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).
Raja aap laajawab ho aur aaj aapne phir se prove kar diya.
Raja has gained amazing confidence and didnt falter for a second milli second even. He was in complete control right from the word go and the judges as well as the special invitees, priyanka chopra and harman baweja were looking spellbound.
Raja and jassi chose abhijeet. Ahmed gave a 10 and abhijeet a 9 but abhijeet heaped praise on raja aplenty and very sincerely I felt (ahem ahem) and pointed out that Raja could achieve this kind of performance in one take, congratulated him and rated this performance and singing as the best so far in ek se badhkar ek and the camera focussed on aneek at this juncture and he was looking a little pensive but happy for raja and was nodding. Raja really seemed to be a class apart today on stage vis-a-vis all the other contestants. Abhijeet also mentioned that singers like this who could deliver something like this deserved to sing big time for bollywood. He made his message direct, loud and clear.
Raja then claimed the mike and said that there were many struggling singers and that he had been one also earlier and that zee saregamapa gave him a stage and today he is known all over the world and in India and appealed to the viewers to watch saregamapa challenge 2009 and said that there would probably be other rajas and aneeks lying waiting but here I would really like to beg to differ because not a single one in saregamapa 2009 has the voice or the range and looks anything like a raja from miles and kilometers away. Sad but true.

It is not good to see how Raja’s fan started bashing him. I think even Raja do not need these fans, who change their favorite based on someting which they never witnessed. You all came to this site because this site has “Rajahasan” in its url and was about Raja. Nobody will deny whatever Manish and other did for this site and brought all of you together but Manish could not have done anything if you had not supported this site, you means Raja’s fan and all of you get bonded in cord because of only one person that was RAJA. Many of contestants from C2007 has fan sites but it is blessing to have a fan site for Raja. Which had more than 1000 hits a day. After considering and analysing everything, I decided to remain a loyal Raja fan although I still feel this site should go on.

Discuss with Raja or anybody but please do not make your discussion public. It is immature to discuss something in public which happened behind the scene. I will even suggest Raja too, to handle it in private and do not post anything here. Everything done in hurry will not be good for anybody. There are lot of thing happen but we should be mature enough to know what should go public and what not. I really do not want Raja to give his side of story in public and neither I think you should make it public. We do not have any business in what is happening behind the scene except Raja’s singing.. That is my thinking, other may have other.

Please give time to resolve whatever happened there. We should have patient in this situation, I know nothing will harm anybody except Raja. If we truely love Raja, please let them handle it. Raja is an innocent/non-diplomatic person and we fans are also like him, we even do not know if we are harming him or supporting him here in this situation.

Dave, No, I don’t think Raja is in any “trouble” as you might think. The “bura samay” he mentions is perhaps of those things that I really can’t mention here -but it is more of a needless insecurity that has got into his head.
