Ek Se Badhkar Ek-the Yawn continues…
Things on Ek Se Badhkar Ek began with leftovers of yesterday – the elimination clash between Kushal and Purbi.
Kushal’s theme was “war” and he dressed up in camouflage and went on to do a left-right-parade. Purbi on the other hand was handed over the theme “Disco” and she danced away to my eternal Bappi da-Usha Uthup favourite – Koi Yahaan from Disco Dancer.
Abhijeet liked Kushal’s performance because of its “original conception”. Purbi got an 8 from Ahmed. And after a lot of fooling around, Babu announced that Kushal ended up with a 9.
Emon and Purbi are out. On her way out, Purbi did a small bit of a Sridevi act from Mr. India.
Now for today’s performances.
Sumedha comes in with a so-so singing of Paape Bachalo Tussi. She goes with Abhijeet. Abhijeet said that he likes Sumedha’s voice. Abhijeet gave her a 7.
Rajshree attempts a Helen act with Mehbooba Mehbooba from Sholay. Abhijeet thought she was very graceful. Ahmed Khan thought there had to be a male element in the song – something like Jalal Agha in the original version.
And now comes Aneek. Abhijeet, as expected from morons like him, went after Atif Aslam. I don’t even feel like writing about it anymore. Maybe somebody could declare Abhijeet brain dead as well. Aneek gets a 7.
Now Jaswir comes in with Tu Hi Ru Satrangi Re. As usual, she seems to be most capable of the lot. A polished performance. Raja did seem to enjoy it. Ahmed Khan was hugely impressed. She ends up with a massive 9.
Harpreet tries an attempt at Chal Chaiyya Chaiyya. Both Abhijeet and Ahmed think he could have done better with the higher notes. Abhijeet asks Raja and Aneek to sing that bit. And when Raja sings the little bit flawlessly – Abhijit remarks that not all songs are for everybody – “yeh Hasan ka gaana hai”.
At the end of the show Raja did a little jig with Kushal and Rajshree – that was probably more entertaining than the entire episode.

Aree…u didn’t mention Raja bhaiya singing little bit of Chaiya Chaiya….when Harpreet bhai was singing I wished if Raja bhaiya could sing just a lil bit of it somehow…..and I was so happy when was asked to sing it

@ Raja….i felt sooooo proud of u today dear….i just can’t describe it….tum, Harpreet,aur Aneek ne wohi same lines gaye….par jo throw tumhari voice me thi…woh lajabaab thi…sari duniya ke samne aj proof kar diya ki tum kya cheez ho….u r the best…u r unbeatable…LOVE U SO MUCH
RHB, Harpreet sang the song ‘chhaiya- chhaiya , which the judges thought was not that powerful on the high notes. Then Abhijeet asked Raja, “:Hasan, you sing the song”. So Raja sang a few lines very nicely .& Abhijeet immediately said ” some songs suit some particular voice & not all & this is the example. ” Of course, here he was praising Raja and not saying sarcastically.
ok….Harpreet sang Chaiya chaiya and after his performance Ahmed khan was like I was thinking that u will put in more josh and stuff….but that didn’t happen.
then he asked Aneek to sing it too…but he could not it soo well…..and then he wasl like I proved what I hade to yeh gana kiska hai…Hasan ka….and aage I don’t remember coz I started jumping with joy 
Abhijeet de commented that Soni de nakhre ki poo ja dum lagana chaiye tha….and he asked Raja bhaiya to sing the song and we all know how well he can sing it
hehehe…I am soooo happy today…this weekend has been a treat for us
@ RBH…apne kya miss kiya ..me bayan nehi kar sakti…yesterday i missed Raja’s performance,& was so unhappy…but today i’m soooo happy…

and me too when Harpreet was singling I was wishing that I could hear Raja sing that and it was like bingo… my wish came true.. abhijeet asked raja to sing chaiyya chaiyaa and it so soooooooooooo fabulous.. when all these guys sing the same song harpreet, aneek, raja the same song, you see the difference sooooooooooooooo much.. raja is way apart and is soooooooooooo awesome!! I am so happy today

and omg….when i Harpreet started singingg Chaiyaa..i also was wishingggg….i was like Raja should come to the stage and join Harpreeet…but then at the end…Abhijeet made him singgg…and i was likeeee “Kya Baat Hai”……lol

I couldn’t see yesterday’s show - glad there’s a repeat today - will not miss it especially with Raja singing - even if it is one line. Thank you all for the update. Have to see his jig again especially with Rajshree - that looks too cute for words.
