Raja Hasan part of Kabootar Soundtrack

Anubhav-sinha-saregamapaIn a series of announcements, here’s another. News is going around that Raja Hasan recently recorded a song for a film called Kabootar.

If you recall last year’s Saregamapa series there was Cash’s director Anubhav Sinha who made the announcement that they would be using the voices of six singers from Saregamapa for his first produced film – Kabootar. These names included Raja Hasan, Amanat Ali, Junaid Sheikh, Apurva, Mussarat Abbas and Suniel.

I am not sure about other singers, but Raja has probably already recorded for Anubhav Sinha’s Kabootar. Interestingly Kabootar was announced way back in 2006 by Anubhav Sinha – which was to be directed by his long time associate Maqbool Khan.

Kabootar is supposed to be an intense film about four youngsters who turn into sharp-shooters. The film is based in the rustic background of Rajasthan – and the characters speak the typical dialect of the region.

The composers are Vishal Shekhar, who have composed for Anubhav Sinha’s earlier films like Dus, Tathastu and Cash.

    Wow. Fantastic news and so very thrilling to read so many good news and happy events happening for Raja. Thank you Sir RHB for keeping us up-to-date. Now, that I see Anubhav’s picture - I recall seeing him… until then I had no face go with the name.

    I like the story of this movie - I hope it turns out to be a huge success. 2nd good news - my favorite Vishal-Shekhar composing - Awesome..

    Manish coming close in the heels of your last post on maari teetri, maari chipkali and maari kabootari, I was scared of taking the film kabootar that you are mentioning seriously but as i read on it sounds credible and authentic indeed!!!

    Usually music releases happen 3 weeks before. So maybe sometime by next weekend (or even earlier) we could have My Friend Ganesha 2’s audio CDs out.

    This is great news. However, Bollywood has tough place to survive. Where are the singers that got so much compliments in 2005? There are so many singers and let us hope Raja will come up faster than any one else.

    Look what happened Vineet, I still do not see any hit song of him. He was my favourite participant in 2005.

    Vinit I think has sung in like 5 movies so far and his latest song is frm a Tamil movie and the song is getting good reviews and the song is dubbed in Hindi but u kno Vinit needs improvment in his singing and Raja is a pretty much complete singer so he shuldn’t hve any problems in B town

    raja was on today saregamapa 2009 preview or something like that, just caught a glimpse of him and he said something very funny, maybe imitated the murugan guy, was very funny raja does have a sense of humour over and above everything else and that makes him so much more IRRESISTABLE!!!!

    Two, the reason the pic looks so amazing to you is thanks to my “hours” of efforts. The pic is heavily image-manipulated.

    I work professionally as a photo-restorer (You know I revive those those WW2 pics) and I have a few skills. I have removed the ugly stubble (Irrespective of the popular Raja ki Teetri opinion) , got rid of the dark bags below his eyes, did a liposuction to get rid of his double chin and added a twinkle to the eyes.

    And that is why you like it. So, don’t praise your dear Raja if he looks sexy, the credit goes to to the ever narcissistic me.

    Great isnt it? He will sing his own song on the same platform where he debuted. That’s when one realizes that Raja has indeed come a long way baby and I for one am damn damn damn happy for him.

    I still do take up photo restoration tasks - but very rarely now. This Raja pic was a retouch task that was done in less than 10 minutes. Restoration tasks- specifically those photos affected by fungus, dampness or simply torn away - those early 1900 pics take hours to do. I nowadays simply push those tasks to my younger brother who is a master at this kind of work.

    and by the way since I have seen Raja at very close quarters personally I can vouch for the fact that he really does not need manish’s genious to look good because he really really does look super good. he is not very photogenic that’s all, looks much better slimmer and great in real life.
