Raja Hasan’s Next Release On Its Way – My Friend Ganesha II
Just as Maari Teetri is peaking in popularity, we now have yet another Raja Hasan release to deal with. Raja has a song in the film My Friend Ganesha II, and the music release should happen anytime now, as the film is scheduled to release in July.
Yet again, I had a brief listen at the original OST, sung by Raja. What I expected was a song that would be something “religious”, bhajan-kind or something perhaps for kids. The soundtracks in the first version - My Friend Ganesha was pretty much that kind. But I have hugely surprised to hear the Raja song. It seemed and out and out new-age composition with those heavy guitaring rock bands use. Plus, it had those typical Raja singing as we heard in Bheegi Bheegi from Gangster.
I simply blurted out - “That sounds like a Pritam composition”. Raja, in turn was all praise for the composer of the song saying that he had done a wonderful job.
The tubelight that I am, it took me a while to figure out how such an unusual song finds place in a movie about Lord Ganesha. Apparently, the sequel has an adorable animated Ganesha who wears Bermuda shorts, speaks fluent English, has tattoos on his arms and plays the guitar. No wonder then, that the creators have opted for such a modern-day composition.
The film is a multi-composer production with songs composed by Samir Phaterpekar, Vinay Kapadia and a popular band called Frequency. Though this is my guesswork, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Raja song is a work of Frequency. (Frequency and Vishal of Pentagram do know each other - and that could be another connection. But again, this all assumptions).
And yes, Raja did mention that the song has been picturised on him as well. I assume that the filming would have taken place for a promotional video and we could be seeing him in the promos soon. But if what has been shot ends up in the actual movie - wouldn’t that mean Raja makes his acting debut? Or maybe I am thinking a bit too much.

Girl which world are you living in?? Raja is not hosting the show - Its Aditya who is hosting it and if you are talking about the Middle East/ Pakistan SRGMP then that is long over - refresh your tv and mind button and watch your Aditya there!! And even after that if you need to write something agains Raja then find another website!! *@#*##
