Raja Hasan on Ek Se Badh kar Ek

Zee TV should have called it Ek Se Badh Kar Do.
Whatever-with the IPL cricket ending- thankfully for all General Entertainment Channels that took a severe beating over the past six weeks-everyone seems to be rushing for the primetime weekend slot with more reality shows.
And Zee-with a seemingly great degree of imagination-have tried to mix and match. So what are they up to now? A reality show that combines singing and dancing! In an attempt, which is clearly to retain its faithful watchers (rather than gain new viewers), Zee TV is launching it’s reality show Ek Se Badh Kar Ek-comprising teams in which one is a singer and one is supposed to dance. So the singers will be from singing contests like Saregamapa, while the dancers will be TV actors.
And Raja Hasan will be on the show. I have no idea who he is paired with. And who else will be on the show. Raja did shoot for the promos last week - and the actual shoot begins on probably the 2nd of June. And a few people tell me that the promos of the show - featuring Aneek and Raja have already been aired on Zee.
It will be a bi-weekly show, hosted by Ravi Kissan, the Bhojpuri star who is now making a buzz on the small screen. So you could probably watch Raja every weekend. I have no idea yet on who other participants are. But the judges are singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya (oh no!) and choreographer Ahmed Khan.
The twist that Raja has to combine with a partner who will be dancing doesn’t excite me. That means the outcome isn’t solely dependent on Raja’s singing - but it depends on how well he and his partner combine. Neither do I know if there will be audience voting-but given Zee’s track record, highly unlikely that they keep away from SMS revenue. But the silver lining is that the show is by UTV, which usually has slightly better production values.
Whatever, it will be a few more weekends, where one catch Raja on TV. But what if he is the dancing partner instead of the singing partner? But then there are others who feel, Raja doesn’t need a partner-he can very well do both the singing and dancing on his own.
That’s why probably they have called it Ek se Badhkar Ek. Not Do.

That’s true ,even I’m neither exicted about the show nor about his partner as per my knowledge Raja’s partner is Jaswinder kaur one of the contestants of the show Mr&Ms TV which was aired on Sony few months ago,she is a good dancer but as you said result will be dependent on both lets hope for the best..

i am still there.i saw d promos of d shows.timings r 7 or 7.30.waiting eagerly for d show.and very rightly said USTAAD RAJA doesn’t need any partner, but rules r rules. hope for d best partner.ALL THE BEST TO BOTH.
The press conference on the show is on 3rd of June and shooting starts from 4th June.Vijay Bhai informs this.
