Rahat Fateh Ali Khan-An amazing singer
It was again and awesome evening on Yeh Shaam Mastani and this time it was awesome singing by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.
He sings the toughest songs effortlessly. He started his singing at the age of 7 and was trained under expert supervision of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
He sang some beautiful songs.

Naina Thag Lenge here I will say Rahat sang very beautifully but could not create the feel which Raja created when he sang Naina Thag Lenge. Just hear it and post your comments without bias.

you are absolutely right.i had the same feeling as you about naina thag lenge.this was my instant reaction when i saw this show some days ago.i had not the courage to express my real feelings because rahat sahab is a great and established singer and innoscent too.
Raja Bhaiya has a very powerful voice which gave this song a totally different rendition…there is truth and a connection with The Almighty when he sings!!! I think Naina was my favourite performance by Raja Bhai!!!
Rahat sahib is a Great singer and I don’t think I have the right to judge him…..I loved his performance too!!!
But honestly….I haven’t heard anyone feel a song like Raja Bhai!!!He is BRILLIANT!!!

i had the same feeling about naina thhag lenge…when raja sang it straightway penetrated into the heart…it had a intense feeling which goes well with the lyrics…with due respect Rahat ji is a great singer,but i think his redintion was more like a kawali…the ‘dard’ in this song was more defined in raja version

Ab jigar thaam ke behtho meri baari ayi Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is very accomplished in his singing and it is more than clear that he does a lot of riyaz, but he does not have the x factor that Raja has, my only problem with Raja is that I think, and I hope I am wrong he is not doing enough riyaz when his voice cracks it feels like someone hit me, so he should give his all to riyaz, as for naina thag leynge or uppar Khuda not even close to Raja, uppar Khuda is my all time favourite and Raja aced it

and for Kailash also i felt the same, because i heard kailash for the first time in E-shaam mastani but whatever the songs he sang ,,I heard those in Raja’s voice before and i bet that Raja sang much better than the originals, perticularly Saiyyaan when he sang the song in Adnaan sami’s episode even Adnan got tears in his eyes he was completely moved by Raja’s perfomence and Raj rtocked Chak de phatte too, and as all u know, in UKU Raja sang Teri deewani simply superb.
I didn’t find the magic and soul in kailash’s voice though they are his own songs but i believe they 100 % belong to Raja only.
Raja brought life in those songs by his magical voice.
Rahat ji is not even came close to Raja specially when he sang high notes i felt his voice sounds like female voice but Raja melts hearts when he sings high notes.
For Sukhwinder also i felt the same, ramtajogi is best suited to Raja than sukhwinder.
I think they all must listen their own songs by Raja and i want to know what will they say if it really happens.

This is most ridiculous comparison :):) I don’t think Raja can hold candle to Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. Stop making such comparisons.
Since when is it that singing is all about comparison’s……….. Makes me feel sad … i guess every one has there own quality and it depends what one likes to hear at what stage and by whom so these r just the phases and no more I am sure raja is a good singer but he still has a lot to learn as experience is always a better attitude raja sahab well done for how u sing but ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Think people ! think!
