Raja Hasan on a new singing contest show on Sony - Ustaadon ka Ustad

Raja Hasan will be back on Indian Television screens once again. And yet again on a reality singing show - this time on Sony TV.

Raja Hasan will be representing Saregamapa in a unique singing contest called “Ustaadon Ka Ustaad” on Sony - where contenders from all three shows - Saregamapa, Indian Idol and Voice of India take on each other. Spanning over five episodes, the show goes on air from April 7 and continues till April 12.

In fact the Ustaadon Ka Ustaad show is part of Sony’s Sitaare Zameen Pe event that has various special shows like Bura na Mano Holi Hai, Mr. and Mrs. Television and finally Ustaadon Ke Ustad. The UKU show is not just a singing contest however. There are parallel competitions for singing, dancing and stand-up comedy - where participants from various reality shows will be pitted against each other.

Sajid Khan will be anchoring the show while the judges include names like Shekhar Suman, Saroj Khan and Javed Akhtar.

The show , thankfully, will not have public voting - as the episodes have already been shot and canned last week, when Raja took a break from Dubai to shoot in Mumbai.

Among the participants, Raja Hasan and Mauli Dave will be representing Saregamapa, Emon Chatterjee and Amit Paul for Indian Indol and Sumitra and Toshi will be the challengers from Voice of India.

Though not on a large scale as Saregamapa, this show should be fun with an episode everyday. More details as they emerge.

Show timings: Monday-Thursday, April 7 to 10 @ 10 pm & Grand Finale on Sunday, April 13, @ 8.00 p.m on Sony Entertainment Television

    UkU has competition. Star Plus now has its own show scheduled in April that will see competition between singers from Fame Gurukul, Indian Idol, Sa Re Ga Ma, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Bathroom Singers and Voice of India.

    And Vishal-Shekhar along with Farah Khan will be the judges here!
