Coming up: Raja Hasan in a new album: Mannat
- With inputs from Vijay Vyas in Bikaner.
For a few weeks now there have been news circulating that Raja Hasan’s album is just round the corner. Finally, here is confirmation. There is an album featuring Raja in the next few days. But it isn’t the solo-album people were speculating about. It is the “Mannat” album, which we had written about in early January. It’s a compilation of songs from various artists - leading playback singers - and when I say leading playback singers - I mean the cream of the music industry. And included in this package are three Raja Hasan songs!
So, who is Raja Hasan rubbing shoulders with in the album? Big names like Udit Narayan Jha, Sunidhi Chauhan, Kumar Sanu, Vasundhara Das, Baba Sehgal and Annie Chatterjee.
Here’s the big news: In an album that probably has 10 songs - Raja gets the lions’s share of three songs. And the rest of the singers have contributed with one each. The key point is - treat this album as you would treat a Raja Hasan solo album. Three songs from Raja is enough for us to last a lifetime! Please don’t look around for MP3s. Please buy the album, whenever they are available. (I’ll let you know on the release dates whenever I get to know about it). And you need to support this album here, because of a simple reason. 30% of the profits go to charity.
As for the Mannat Album, the songs have been composed by Din Mohammad, written by Arif Rampuri and the album is produced by Raju H. Kurdiya. And as we had mentioned earlier, this is a massive honour for Raja to be included in an album that includes legends like Udit Narayan and Kumar Sanu.
I don’t have the album release date yet - but I’ll let you know more on that as Vijay Vyas has promised to update us on it as more news is available.

WOW MashaAllah! Great effort for Raja.. I would like to reiterate that we need to buy the original CD and this will only encourage singers like RAJA and himself to actually make efforts like such to donate a huge chunk to charity.

I cant emphasize this enough, the only way to show Raja his fans are supporting him is to BUY THE ORIGINAL ALBUM….if this album does extremely well, more people will want to get Raja to sing for them. And if this isnt convincing enough for you to purchase THE ORIGINAL ALBUM, just think of the donation u will be making!!

I just love Raja’s voice. I just heard him sing yara sili sili in Ek se badh kar ek and once again he captured my heart. He is the best! Best of luck Raja. I met him in Chicago last year in Dec. He is extremely talented and very goodlooking on top of that. Raja jee bhar kar Jeeyo!
