Anamika sends Jorhat into frenzy!
Saregamapa Lil Champs finalist, Anamika Choudhari arrived in Jorhat, Assam today, on her way to her home town. She was here to raise support for her voting campaign just before the Saregamapa Lil Champs finals.
And according to a close friend who is based in Jorhat, the whole town almost came to a standstill, eagerly wanting to have a glimpse of her.
At the scheduled time she was to arrive, massive crowds thronged both sides of the roads - on the entire route from the airport to wherever she was scheduled to go. Several thousands of people - including children, housewives and elders eagerly awaited Anamika’s arrival. The whole celebration-like-scenario gave the feel that it was Durga Puja time in Jorhat. And the fact that her arrival was delayed by two hours, didn’t dampen the spirits of the people who were waiting to catch a glimpse of her.
Finally, Anamika arrived, under heavy police escort at 5.pm. She travelled in a huge convoy, which included over two-hundred bikes and over 40 cars. Waving to the cheering crowds from a white Scorpio SUV, Anamika acknowledged her fans. The whole procession included thousands of banners, posters, flags and of course loud-speakers that urged people to keep voting for Anamika.

The enthusiasm to just catch a glimpse of Anamika was such that it took almost three hours for the convoy to travel just the three main streets of the city. Finally Anamika left for her home-town Mariani which is 18 kms from Jorhat. She will be performing in Mariani, where the Anamika fan club has organized a concert.
All this happened when it was supposed be a 12 hour Assam bandh called in by the ULFA. (Telegraph report here).
The support for Anamika just seems amazing. And we just need to see if this massive support for Anamika translates into results. But with Zee, we can never be sure.

she is the best lil champ on the show
good luck & god bless her
Acha my good friend also lives there what a coincidence
Great singer.
Either that or all the people in the Eastern part of India are good singers or voters. I mean pretty much all the winners in SAREGAMAPA have been from that part of india. Lemme count:
1) Debojit (from assam. did he deserve to win against vinit?)
2) aishwarya-UJJAINI (Ujjaini from calcata. deserved it?)
3) Sanchita (West Bengal. did she deserve to win? arguable)
4) Aneek (calcata. uh… any questions?)
5) ??????? Anamika??
Do you think this is just a co-incidence RHB? or is it that people in Eastern India love to support their “representative.” Is it not unfair for contestants from other parts of india like south india, where people dont watch much SAREGAMAPA and thus dont vote? It is good to support a contestant from your town/city/state/country, but if everybody started to do that wouldnt that be unfair for the genuine “GOOD” singer? Im not taking any sides, just throwing something interesting out there…
Mera Bharat Mahaan
doodh ji bengalis start learning the arts as children i know this because of my family having lived in bengal now i do not know if the rest of india is the same but in bengal they are very serious about their singing and dancing etc so if good singers come from there it is not at all surprising and as for Aneek he is very accomplished he just does not have the voice may be when he matures? vinit please , i can sing also and carry a tune but did you see the effort it took him to sing and a voice without beauty is just a voice we all have voices bring me a rafi a raja a mukesh a kishore then we will talk
I didn’t watch even single episode of this Little Champ one but I heard one song sang by this cute girl it is the song from Bhul Bhulaiya, my God it’s amazing ………I couldn’t believe her talent. I don’t know about other contestants but this angel is fantastic she is really a perfect singer. God bless you sweet Anamika, you are really a God gift.
