Aneek and Sanchita injured in Road Accident

Saregamapa 2007 winner, Aneek Dhar and Lil Champs winner Sanchita Bhattacharjee, were injured in a road accident in Assam earlier today.

They were injured when the vehicle in which they were travelling in collided head-on with a truck in Assam’s Goalpara district. While Aneek and Sanchita were said to be out of danger, Sanchita’s father Dhruba Bhattacharjee’s condition is serious. A few Aneek fans who have managed to have a talk with Aneek have reported that Aneek is out of danger.

sanchitaThe three were on their way to Guwahati to participate in a function when their car collided with the truck at Lela near Dudhnoi area of the district.

The car’s driver, who had apparently tried to change lane to overtake another vehicle, also suffered injuries but his condition is not serious.

On behalf of all Raja Hasan fans, we wish Aneek, Sanchita and her father a speedy recovery and hope things are back to normal very soon.

UPDATE:

Aneek has apparently been flown down to Kolkata. He has had a few minor head and leg injuries, but is stable. He was discharged in the evening. According to a report he even performed for a show on Tuesday night.

After reaching Kolkata, Sanchita and her father were admitted to the Woodland Nursing Home. Sanchita has injuries to her left eye and head. Her father however has 23 stitches to his head.

    oh this is really sad news.. I hope and pray that they will recover really soon and will be hale and hearty and back on their feet dancing. God bless them all!
    My prayers for Sanchita’s dad.. may he come out of danger real fast and may he live a long and healthy life. Amen!
    I am really happy that Aneek and Sanchita are out of danger. May they recover soon and may they never ever enter any danger in their life.

    oh no. I am feeling so awful.
    Assam roads and drivers are terrible. I know it first-hand. The roads are trecherous and the drivers drive so very badly.

    In fact our driver when me and my friend had gone to Assam a couple of years ago died in a road accident barely a couple of months later and he was just a wonderful and resourceful person and a father of two small kids husband to a young wife and a brain full of ideas and plans. I felt so sickened and sad about his loss and I still remember him and have his photographs!!

    I too wish a speedy recovery to aneek, sanchita and her father on behalf of all of us.

    I live in United States, not to say there are no accidents here. However, when I visit India, I never travel at night. If I have to , I go by trains. Otherwise, drive only during day time. Truck drivers and bus drivers drive without any care in our country.

    So sad to read about Sanchita and her father..hope her father recovers soon…

    Got a glimpse of Raja on TV serial (my son called me when he was changing channels and spotted Raja on zee)..my word such a long time it has been since I watched his videos and songs..whats the latest on his albums, movie songs etc…are none of them released yet..????

    All the Indian Community in Israel are praying for the Recovery of the injured. We were all together One Month ago in Eilat with a wonderful show, and after a visit in our holy land I am sure that god will bring them to normal life soon - Amen
