Bappida confirms Raja’s recording for Tere Sang

In an interview to the Indian Express, composer and mentor Bappi Lahiri has confirmed that Raja Hasan has recorded for Satish Kaushik’s film Tere Sang. Though the recording had taken place a long while ago and rumors have being going around, this is first official confirmation that Raja Hasan has sung for the film.

However, Satish Kaushik’s film that deals with the sensitive issue of teenage pregnancies doesn’t have Bappi Lahiri as the sole composer. Annu Malek has composed seven songs for the film that stars Ruslaan Mumtaz (Mera Pehla Pehla Pyar/MP3). Bappi Lahiri was supposed to do only the background score, but apparently Bappida has composed a song which has been sung by Raja and Sumedha. Most likely, the song will not be part of the movie storyline, but would used in the titles and credits of the movie.

On the other hand, news has been going around that Bappi Lahiri has recorded a song for Nikhil Advani’s next ambitious action-comedy - Chandni Chowk to China - a semi-autobiographical movie of Akshay Kumar. The song, reportedly, is again recorded using voices of Raja Hasana and Sumedha. Yet again, the Nikhil Advani movie is a multi-composer film with Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy doing the bulk of the work, while Kailash Kher and a Chinese musician putting in their inputs as well.

After Raja’s HSM2, De Taali, Tere Sang, Bhole Shankar and possibly Chandni Chowk to China, his playback singing career seems to have taken off pretty much according to the script.

    I know this thread is for raja but i have to say something about Bhappi Da i think he is the sweetest man from his clothes to his demeanour you know he hides nothing of who he is and doesn’t care what you think of him and he has an open heart and everyone is his favourite and i liked him a lot in the black suit now i have said what i wanted to say Hip hip horay for Bhappi Da
