Raja Hasan and the unorthodox background music
I remember a small quote from Vishal Dadlani when he was asked about his musical preferences. And Vishal’s response was simply: As long as it sounds good, I don’t care if comes from a keyboard or a tabletop.
Ah, the tabletop! There are people who can really create music out of almost anything. And this time it is our own Raja Hasan himself. Here’s a video that Vishu recorded and Jugal Bajaj uploaded - it has the wonderfully talented Sumedha singing for a private audience. But apart from just the singing, pay attention to the music being played in the background. And that’s our own wonder kid Raja displaying yet another talent of his - creating music using the tabletop, his metallic ring and may be even cups, spoons and God knows what else! Plus creating a few special effect sounds using his mouth.
One surely can depend on Raja to add a little spice to any baithak - even if he isn’t singing. Do check the video:
