Raja’s first song is here - High School Musical 2 promos released

The promos of the song Raja Hasan recorded for Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy in between Saregamapa are apparently being aired on Channel V. The song - the Hindi  version of High School Musical 2 is an adapted composition by SEL, with Indian instrumentation. Raja Hasan has sung the song along with Shilpa Rao (Javeda Zindagi of Anwar), Arijit Singh (Fame Gurukul) and another debutant Tarannum.

The song is called “Aaja Nach Le” and is an adaptation of the “All for one” song from the original English soundtrack. The hindi version of High School Musical 2 is scheduled for a December 9 release and will be premiered on the Disney Channel in India. The music has been offically released on Times Music. The videos have been choreographed by Bosco-Ceaser, while the SEL composed songs have been remixed by DJ Suketu.

Other singers in the album are Shankar Mahadevan, Vishal Dadlani, Raman Mahadevan, and Neumon Pinto.

Unlike HSM1, the music for HSM2 was re-recorded in Hindi with Indian instrumentation and more rhythmic beats to achieve a “Bollywood” sound. Aaja Nachle is a complete Bollywood style track with bhangra beats, hip hop and electric guitar. HSM was hugely poular in India and Disney hopes HSM2, with added localisation would be hugely popular.

The other two songs in the movie by SEL are Ud Chale and Choti si . According to wikipedia, the videos are also available on Disney Channel.

Shankar Mahadevan exclaimed, “We are thrilled to be a part of High School Musical 2. It is a unique experience for all of us to create ‘inspired songs in Hindi’ for an international hit album. Every song tells a story about teamwork, believing in yourself and following your dreams.” 

I’ll update you when I get the video of the song.

For the moment, Raja opens his account in the playback industry!

    I cannot agree with them on this..Aneek definately did not deserve to be the winner, and we cannot accept that..we can only say he is a good singer but not the bestm moreover even before the controversies started about rigging of votes it was more than clear with HR;s behavior and the way the awards happened that it was not at all a fair judgement..

    Amanat can sing well but compared to Raja he fades because of so many reasons, he definately makes mistakes which are not considered mistakes becoz of the support of Ismail , VS etc.. all this has been happening..

    Now coming to Raja , even there are some mistakes at times, he can still mesmerize people, its not being biased but its a fact..he moves on with the melody of his song and he sings great..

    Well to that matter many singers earlier have made mistakes ..the original play back singers not all sings are hit , based on that you cannot say that Kishore doesnt deserve the fame or Lataji doesnt deserve the fame but sure that they did not sing everysong well..so Raja has his own style of singing and has the largest fan following becoz of this and it would have been good if VS made this statement while sporting off with the final result..

    Still appreciate all the support that they are giving to Raja and pray all our wishes about Raja come true

    Something which made me smile today:
    I was watching the 5th October episode.

    Himmy and ID were bashing Raja, when suddenly VS made a well planned and well executed entry. Shekar in his non-confrontational fashion made it clear to Himmy and ID that he weas not pleased with their terror tactics.
