Well, here is Vishal’s reply, which has come through as a comment on the blog:
You guys should know, I didn’t backtrack on the ” they cheated” comment! I just clarified that it was said with reference to the vote-multiplication software, not about the channel! The channel absolutely did not rig the votes, and that’s the ONLY reason I’d back them up! But some fans/voters did, and I’m saddened by that! No worries, though, I assure you, raja’s first song will be a SMASH! From then on, it’s upto you guys! Cheers-Vishal.
Now, I think we need to bug Raffu to give us our prizes. Raffu, are you there????...

You have been fearless of the intimidating tactics by one Mr. Himesh R. Both while saying your mind when you felt it was wrong, and staying away from the crappy “love triangle” story so foolishly crafted, you have earned immense respect. Three cheers for that dignity! We loved yours and Shekhar’s suppost to all the participants irrespective of their gharana. Also, the sheer delight at a “genuinely” (oh gawd….I have developed some distaste for that word) great performance. This unbiased support make you true music lovers, who were not frivolous, while trying to be funny!
I could go on and on about the positives, but wind it up, doffing my caps to you both - VS. Needless to say, your support to your protege is commnedable!

life sounds boring now a days mimi…..im feeling like that may be b’coz… saregamapa ended n all the excitement has vanished……..i was never a great TV watcher….its all coz of Rajas singing…..n his voice i used to sit glued to the TV…….it’ll take me lil bit of time to get used to the usual boring life now….
just concentrating on work now….i dont feel like seeing VOI or lil champs…….Raja ki singing ke saamne ye sab phike lagte hain…….i felt Raja doesn’t has a match here….. he is unique……i go into a different world when i listen to his songs…..God bless him….

I have a 5 yo daughter and we are getting her ready for school. She is born and brought up in Canada and does not know a word of hindi.
As is my new ritual I put on Raja’s songs every morning.
She asked that I raise the volume so that she can hear him in her room. When I asked if she understood what he is singing, she said” no, but i like whatever he is singing.”
That to me speaks volumes about music and that it has no language barriers.

same here yaar…. i used to be so excited for fridays and saturdays but now its all gone, i was so depressed when i realized that i wont be seeing raja’s performance any more. I’m also one person who doesn’t watch these so called reality shows but the day i heard Raja singing Allah ke bande i was stunned…. i swear i could not sleep yaar his voice was humming continously in my ears. I was very sane before hearing raja but life is not same after hearing and seeing him.
I was jst hearing Irfan’s (SVOI) version of Piya Haji Ali but seriously i could not even hear 2 lines sung by him… i was in tears thinking abt Raja…. I guess for all of us time is the only medicine. Only with time we would be able to get back to our normal life…. I do come here read the posts & comments but now i do not comment often. Really in front of his fans i’m nothing and i cant say anything all of them are so great… including u dear rajasfan

so lets cheer….afterall vishal has supported and helped raja…

hey regardless of what was said, i know you have rajas best interest at heart. I dont doubt ur sincerity and I think u were the best judge on SRGMPA BY FAR….not just cuz u were rajas mentor but because u were FAIR, which is not what somethin i could say about some others….
Whether it was the fans who cheated or it was Zee is besides the point, basically cheatin took the title away from our raja, but again i know Raja will be number one and this so called title will soon become meaningless…

Now, Vishal is pointing to the softwares …and throwing the burden of cheating on fans! This is just not fair. It was still
Zee/Rediff’s fault…..they failed to provide a simple security measure which could have made all the softwares impossible.
VOI has much better rules, and much fairer voting system. No possibility of s/w. I Vishal is just trying to cover up things.
There is no way there can be 4.1 crore international votes when international population it self is not more than 3 crores. Zee needed to be little more proactive about this. It is entirely Zee’s fault still.
