Lightning strikes twice. If Dard-e-Disco rocked, this one bouldered. No more experimenting, Raja Hasan dished out really exciting stuff with Sukhwinder’s Chaiyya Chaiyya. Extremely comfortable with the song, it was one of the best live performances of Chhaiya Chhaiya I have seen. And boy, he moved like hell on the stage - this was exahusting just watching. Nothing could have been more energetic.
And yet another once more - and yet again Raja rocked. Watch out for two things when you watch the video (Part 2) - a classic flip of the mike by Raja - Rajnikanth ishtyle. And yet another alaap brought out of nowhere.
The rest of the bit were mindless ramblings by Himesh, which doesn’t deserve to be described here.

To sing Chaiyya Chaiyya and dance along at the same time is nothing short of genius. And he even did a head-banging move that reminded me of Pentagram’s concerts.

but after observing the voting trends, I am a little worried.
Especially about the fact that votes from outside of India are going to Aneek. I thought that Himesh could only impress the rickshaw drivers with his antics, but I guess I was wrong.
Everytime I visited this site, I felt stronger because I read so many views that echoed mine and I was certain that Raja would lead the votes coming from outside India and within.
We need to double our efforts ,guys.. It is about Raja’s victory, his future and about showing jokers like Himesh their place or else we have to suffer his dramebaazi next year too!

He wasn’t that good in chayya chayya.
But, he totally rocked dard-e-disco.
In chayya chayya, the alaap at the start was mind-blowing. Also, in the middle of the antara, he did hit the high note in an awesome fashion. But, for the rest of the song, he was just OK.
Arey bhai you go and jump up and down with such force and then sing perfectly the fact of the matter is we know he is a very very good singer so we do not need to catch his mistakes we at this point want him to win and win he will Inshallah who in the mast crowd or the guests or the gurus said thumhare sur nahin lag rahe thay everyone was impressed that is all we want

There is a lot of difference in our points of view’s. I am speaking about singing and you are speaking about winning the contest. I prefer the former whereas, you prefer the later. I want Raja to be a great singer. thats it.
I am sorry and i certainly do not want you or anyone else to think that we are arguing i am with you uday i also want raja to sing like no one has ever sung before but right now is not the time to dwell on that right now is the time to put all our strengths in making him win. His Chaya Chaya was superb. It was fantastic. Truely manch hilgaya. Vote everyone with lots of dedication and love. Raja should be the winner. HR was scared to death.

The song Chaiyya Chaiya from Del Se had become famous because of Sharukh Khan’s performance on a moving train but today that song become famous because the way Raja sang and gave new life to the song. I know for a fact it will stay famous for quite sometime…What a performance, singing and dancing, WOW.

i just watched the show online and raja was absolutely brilliant!
Something also struck out at me which I wanted to mention. Vishal-Shekhar are truly amazing because not only did they have Raja meet Sukhwinder but they also had Aneek meet Sonu Nigam (which they didn’t HAVE to do… If it were Himesh instead of Vishal-Shekhar, I am sure he wouldn’t have put in enough effort to have Raja meet Sukhwinder… On a second thought, he may not have even put in effort to have Aneek meet Sonu Nigam).
They’re so down-to-Earth and I wish them all the success in the world in their future endeavors (as well as Raja). I hope the movie is a super hit at the box office, not only for Shahrukh Khan, Deepika, Shreyas, and Farah, but also for Vishal-Shekhar. Hopefully, Vishal-Shekhar will do more films with the “elite” film-makers.
I also have to say that Ismail Darbar did not get on my nerves today. I felt that he was more genuine, maybe he was right that Farah’s unborn triplets have killed the shaytan in him. His praise for Vishal-Shekhar’s music and OSO was from the heart, unlike Himesh’s butt-kissing, I-want-to-be-a-music-director-for-your-next-film-Farah praise.
Overall, this was one of the best episodes I have watched lately (I didn’t watch yesterday’s yet).
Lastly, I want to say that this is the first time I have ever gone on forums or websites of any sorts relating to Indian television. I have been in United States for a long time now (almost 8 years and I got here when I was eleven). I haven’t been back since I got here but talking with you all through this website and listening to what everyone has to say has truly been an experience! And, I CANNOT wait until I can come back to my country, India. I have to say there really is no country like India (although I am grateful for the opportunities I have here). You all are so lucky to be there and to be able to give a hand in making our country come ahead! And, I will try to do the same while sitting here in the United States. So, THANK YOU to all of you!

Somegirl you are absolutely right…there is no other country like india. I am not from india but i lived in there for 10 years..basically i spent my childhood there and moved to Canada. All i can say is I am in totally desiwashed….I love india and i love the people. I love the culture and im crazy about bollywood. India is just absolutely the best. If anyone says anything bad about the country or the people i go crazy, i tell them to just stop..
My biggest wish is to go back to india someday and settle down there. Cuz i know ke the life i’ve had there i will never find anywhere else in this world.

Ok, I am back to watch him some other millionX more. I just hope now people vote for him a lot after such a performance. And it is not like others haven’t sung such fast songs before. Yes, they have, but then they only sing a song and go, while Raja always gets involved in the song and sings it from his heart and that is why today he was flying on the stage. A true artist! Raja what can I say. I already called a few people who always said you never made them dance today everyone was dancing with you.
I think we can even include VS in the list of Raja’s fans b/c it is evident that they genuinly want Raja to win. The way they clap for Raja and the glow on Vishal’s face when Raja is singing can be easily seen. The way Raja hugs VS after his performance shows that there is a strong friendly bond between them. Today when Farah suggested to include Raja version in the OSO cd, O boy Vishal shouted with all his heart. I am just imagining how happy not only Raja but VS will be when Raja wins (inshahallah).
Plz keep voting. Just less than two weeks coz we don’t want to regret latter.

U r right…love is more important than luxuries….n couple of my indian friends went back home to visit recently and they told me that lifestyle has changed so much over there. Our luxury n style is nothing compared to theres. Which makes me so happy to hear cuz India deserves it since the people are so hardworking and there is so much companionship between them…

companionship! you hit the right point… I think that’s what we lack here, even in the Indian communities. everyone is so competitive, it’s kind of ridiculous. we have more opportunities yet we are more competitive. and unhealthy competition breeds jealousy. so, we have no camaraderie.
sometimes i wonder how all the contestants on saregamapa so whole-heartedly support each other despite knowing that they are competing with the same people to win this contest and win a substantial amount of money at that. I guess that’s what sets India apart!
but, yes, i cannot wait to have pav bhaji and pani puri from the streets of gujarat! plus ras (mango thingy) and ice cream and ALL the rest

Raja was fantastic today and I have been watching him some gezillion times now. I should get to voting soon. And I too love when he goes saregama pa in the middle of chaya chaya. Just superb! He was completely in a rocking mood today. He set the stage on fire with darde disco and chaya chaya. Did you notice he didn’t even talk that much like others? He straight went to bring Deepika and Shreyas on to stage with full charge. I loved his confidence. I really hope he wins now coz it will really hurt otherwise.
It feels so heartening to read all this praise for Raja and this amazing Indian patriotism. People here in Singapore are often shocked/amazed at the fact that I have this deeprooted passion for cricket and bollywood and hindi songs and our culture and all things Indian. But I’m really proud of it, proud of what I am and what we are. It feels awesome to come here and communicate with like minded people. Like you said, somegirl, I have never spent any time on all these forums, but this has been an amazing experience.
Hoorah to Raja for uniting me with wonderful people like you all! It will be sad when the show ends, because I know I’ll miss coming here to read updates and comment.
