If you watched the T20 finals very closely, you would have noticed that MS Dhoni immediately gathered his boys into a huddle after the victory - even before they could break into a victory frenzy and gave the team huddle one line of advice, a bit forcefully - sab kuch normal rakhne ka. Keep your feet firmly on the ground. This was not a small victory. Not an insignificant match. And yet, Dhoni came out with an advice that surprised many.
And Raja Hasan could learn from MS Dhoni’s advice as he prepares himself for the grand Saregamapa finale. He needs to remain as calm and normal as he has been throughout the competition.
It’s not difficult to see why Dhoni made the remark. Early in the year when the team was booted out of the world cup, his effigies were burnt, his home stoned and his under-construction house in Harmu Colony, Ranchi was vandalised. Dhoni hasn’t forgotten those events. In fact Dhoni’s parents refused to join in the celebrations when India beat Pakistan a couple of nights ago. And that is precisely why Dhoni knows that getting carried away makes very little sense. It is a lot more important to keep in control over emotions - both when there are people rooting for you and when they ready to slice you apart.
Both Raja Hasan and MS Dhoni’s meteoric rise in popularity have a lot in common. Of course, Though Raja hasn’t reached levels of MSD, but the comparisons show interesting facts. Both are regarded small town boys. Both really have struggled and put in hard-work to get there. Both really didn’t get off to flying starts. Dhoni got a duck on debut. While Raja was in and out of Saregamapa often. And then both struck gold. One with a blistering 148 against Pakistan. The other with a heart winning “Allah Ke Bande“.
Look deeper, and it isn’t all about being a swashbuckling batsman or a talented singer. Or having a cute hairstyle. The truth is that the popularity of both is due to a serious lack of role models Indians have. In an age where people struggle to cope up with success (look at Himesh or Yuvraj) - both Dhoni and Raja have always had the humility factor going their way. Dhoni might love fast bikes, but never will you see a tinge of arrogance in him. As for Raja, it is his humble nature that clicks for him.
Raja isn’t a Dhoni at this stage - but there is a big point that everybody misses out on - Both Dhoni and Raja represent the great Indian middle class aspiration. This middle-class loves backing the immensely talented next-door-boy to huge levels of success. They see their own dreams being fulfilled when the next-door boy reaches the top. And when the same boy, fails to keep his feet grounded, they know how to pull him down. That’s precisely what has happened with Himesh Reshammiya.
Coming back to Dhoni’s “normal rakhne ka” advice, Raja himself would know its significance. He has to treat the big day as just another day. He needs to forget the pressure of expectations of his fans. He needs to remain calm - even when HR and ID unleash yet another round of attacks. Just as Dhoni remains captain-cool when under fire. HR and ID will most certainly have a go at Raja. And all Raja has to so, is take a deep breath, pull that Colgate smile and remember the lyrics of the song he sang - uthe bethha bandar, samjhe apnoo sikandar, Chak de phattey!
Sab kuch normal rakhne ka, Raja. That’s all you need to do.

From the day he sang “Allah ke bande”, i have gone nuts over Raja (dont get me wrong, i am a male-happily married with 3 kids in the USA). His singing, his humility, his smile, his hair, his mentors… they are just too good to be true.
But what boils my blood is the opposite camp. Mr HR and Aneek. Its such a contrast… on the same platform ! I am a very calm guy (especially in Ramzaan when i am fasting), but Mr HR has made me literally hate their sight, their talk… anything about them. I was a so so fan of his songs, but not anymore.
My wife says its just a show… but no, for me its a victory of the good over the bad. I vote online, and i have asked my neice in India to vote for Raja (i get a lot more votes for Raja by smsing from India for the same money) I just wish Raja wins. That will be the biggest eid gift ever.

I wouldn’t take Farah Khan’s promises too seriously. She goes a lot overboard at times - she is more of a drama queen, if yoou watched her on Indian Idol.
Even if she were seriously offering someone, the final call would be taken by the music directors. Farah is expecting triplets in February and so she has taken up no projects in the near future.
The home-production, is run by hubby Director-Editor Shirish Kunder who made Jaan-e-mann last year. His next film is “Joker” which is already into controversy with SRK rebuffing it’s script. Even Farah Khan will not be choregraphing her husband’s film.
Joker’s music will possibly be with Anu Malek. So no chance of any SRGMP contestants here.
My opinion - just a hollow promise by Farah.

The posts here are quite interesting; I just don’t think you should extend your admiration for Raja to dislike for Aneek. I like both of them; they are terrific singers, and have voted for Aneek a couple more times in the last 2 weeks because he sang better. By the way, these are all middle-class kids, and it would be fabulous if any of them win. I hope Raja practices a bit more (like Aneek) and brings out the best in himself …. the next few weeks should be fabulous if HR learns to shut up.

Anon, I understand that you are a cricket fanatic. This post does not compare Yuvraj and Himesh. That would be a stupid thing to do. It points out Yuvraj’s inability to cope with success. It’s precisely why, Yuvi is not India’s captain, as he should have been today. He’s had too many off-field incidents - including a drunken brawl in a party at his home. It’s one thing being aggressive on the field, quite another when you take that attitude off it. It is his brashness that has really come in way of his success. Even after six-sixes, he doesn’t win hearts as much as Dhoni does.
And again, Yuvraj is not Himesh. Nobody can be as sick as Himesh.

sushmita sen in one of the article says that farah keeps her word when she gives and itseems during the song “mehboob mere” farah had promised sushmita a role in her movie and few years after when she was making her movie the first call she made was to her and sushmita was suprised that she remembered it. so i really hope that this is true and our raja gets an offer from her and will also sing in one of her movies.. her movies then that means the movie star cast will be srk ;o)

HI FRIENDS…same wth me…..since past 2 months only raja n raja is in my dream…my mom often say me that i was talking abot raja in deep sleep..she scolds me for the craze i have for him….whole day i will with the patients…nowdays i speak to my well known patients bot him so much..they too hav started voting for him…most of patients say his voice voice has soothing effect esp elderly ones…my patients hav become more closer to me since we started interacting bot raja….we all love raja so much…wenever i get break i rush to our library n vote for him…but its so time consuming making new id n then vote for him….i am trying my best…at nite i make some 50 to 70 id’s daily on duty….ALMIGHTY IS watching us we all are working so hard for raja apart u busy schedule…INSHALLAH RAJA WINS…..

u know i find it easy to vote for raja by coping my email id to my mouse click… i just highlight and with right click i copy and then after i type in verification code and vote, i go ahead and paste the same email id but just add a number before “@” sign and that is faster.. u dont have to type the entire email address again and again… if it was taking an hour earlier in posting 100 votes, with this it takes little over half hour. try and see if it helps.

i saw him on Antakshri on Zeetv… although he was there for a short time but it was a pleasure to watch him…
i live here in Germany so the telecast timings are different…. they show antakshri in Germany every Saturday and Sunday and the repeat is every Wednesday and Thurday…

Yesterday I was lestening the songs of Sukhwindar Sing and I felt Raja is much much better than Sukhwindar. his singing has some magic that tells you to listen to him again and again. And this magic is npt there in Sukhawindars song!!!!

yes it works.. thats what rajahasanbacker asked to add a number to sound a different id last week.
actually there is no verification of email so it works perfectly alright, like when we type email address and if u type wrong verification code then instantly there is a message saying its wrong and prompts u to retype it so if there was something like that for emails, it would have prompted. we get message saying “thank u for ur vote.. blah blah”
plus we accomplish two targets, one we are able to vote more, two - different ids are there.
but rajahasanbacker can put more light on this.. waiting to hear from him

hey guys i jus heard both the songs dard e disco n jag suna….i think vishal shekar has done made a clever choice for raja’s song selection fron oso…chaiya chaiya n dard e disco wod sound a bit same…n many wod again raise a question that raja can sign only 1 type 1 singer song…jag suna sounds totaly different…and i m sure raja will sing jag suna with a great feel in his own unique voice…coz raja never copies any singer u all know that….i am just waiting to watch raja on saturday.

jag soona calls for competence and skill and a strong powerful voice like raja’s. and as somebody else has also posted earlier if he improvises richa sharma’s part too then he will bring the roof down with his performance.

Why do HR and other judges say Raja does not have versatality? That he can only sing Kailash Kher and Sukhwinder Singh. I was watching some of his somgs on youtube again yesterday and here are some of the songs he has sung (did a great job and got judges appreciation):

That is more singers than anyone else has attempted. Just cos he does not sing Sonu Nigam or Udit Narayan songs, he has raised this versatality issue. But do we really need another Sonu Nigam??
i too think “jag soona” is a better choice but Dard e disco might make everyone dance. i dont mind either of them.
i heard original “Ajab Si” (which Amanat is going to sing) and “Kabhi mein Kahoo” (which Aneek is singing) and I think “Jag Soona” by Rahat Fateh Ali is is a marvellous choice… but if Raja sings “Dard e Disco”, then I am sure he will make the entire set dance :o) I am thinking Raja will add his charm to these songs and have a feeling that I will like Raja’s version better then the original :o)
First round on Sat has OSO songs and second half has Sharukh’s choice where Raja is singing Chaiyya chaiyya.. which I feel he must have done fulll justice to it or maybe have improvised it… lets hope so

I agree with you guys, these votin rumors….the most recent one i heard was Aneek 42% Raja 40% and Amanat 18%…again its a RUMOR. I wouldnt e surprised if Sargemapa riggs the results because they have definitly played dirty in the past, esp with Mr. Besharam on the sets…but we all have to believe that Raja will win because not only is he an amazing singer but he touches our hearts….

yes true… phirse drama shuru kiya … he is such a jealous guy… why is he worrying what type of song is that… if the singer is good he will do full justice to the song and will make it popular.. like for example, i hadnt heard the song “Allah ke bande” which Raja sang before but the day i heard Raja sing, i loved it… thats because Raja sang so beautifully.
Aneek on the other hand i have noticed that he has been singing only popular songs and once he got a song which is not that popular and himesh ke barah baj gaye.. ha ha ha … a good singer never have to depend on previous popularity to make his singing a success.
As per the comments by the judges.. that site saregamapachallenge2007 is biased site.. everytime the have a new spoiler if u notice, they have in brackets my favourite aneek and so on.. so thats why they publish all the comments about aneek and not about other singers… thats only because they want people to read blindly and vote for aneek.
judges definitely must have given good comments about raja thats why himesh said to raja that “tumne meri bolti band kardi” otherwise he would have gone on his cheap tactics

Earlier as per my estimate the max votes in 24 hours from a single computer can be approx 80,000 (using a specific technique) and with this 1 id constraint, after chaning the technique, it can be approx 20,000 votes in 24 hours using automated bots
Use Firefox - with default settings, the verification code does not change when you press the back button

Proxy IPs can be used if your network does not deny it but i do not see any point in doing so as they do consider votes from same IP and it happens even if different people from same company LAN votes so not to worry. Rediff for sure does not discard votes from same IP but different email id.
Dear Mainsh pls remove the suggestion above. People against Raja might use it and at this point we can not give them any chance to take over us. Thanks!
