Good bye, Harpreet…
Well yes, this is Raja Hasan’s fan site. But then, sometimes I feel that I should be talking more than just about Raja. So why not a small bit about Raja’s best friend on the show?
It was sad to see Harpreet Deol walking away from the Saregamapa stage. He, easily was Raja Hasan’s biggest backer. Remember last week’s episode, when Akshay Kumar prodded the crowd for who should be the “spark of the day”? And it was Harpreet leading the “Raja, Raja” chant from the stage. Clearly one man who has immense faith in Raja, and wants to see him win the crown.
The path both Harpreet and Raja took were similar. Both eliminated and both brought back into the show in the Brahmastra round by public voting. Both ended up in the Vishal-Shekhar gharana. And both struck a bond with each other. The camaraderie between the two was always visible. Even in today’s episode. In tears, he still did not forget to mention Raja when he was eliminated.
It was sad to see Harpreet go out. But then there’s every likelihood that we might soon be seeing him on the musical stage.
Goodbye, Harpreet. We still have Raja to make up for your elimination.
UPDATE: Vishal Dadlani has been criticised by fans for not backing Harpreet over Mussarat on his elimination. This is a response he sent to “Megan”, Shekhar’s best known fan.
Vishal says: “I appreciate your opinion, but I had to be fair to mussarat too. He really did sing truly well that day. That said, Harpreet will be auditioning for our next project with Yash Raj Films, and we will try our best to make sure he makes a career out of this. Everyone but the winner will be eliminated, and I’ll tell them all that the contest doesn’t matter, life matters. Who wins the show is up to the public, but my job is to teach them how to take the fall and get up again. Harpreet is a strong enough singer to deal with the truth. I hope you understand. Thanks, and please do post my message to anyone else you know with a similar opinion. I can assure you that Harpreet is in safe hands, and will do well. “

I didn’t like when Vishal said that even if Raja gets eliminated tomorrow or next week, it is the same for us. Thanks a million to Harpreet who corrected him saying ” Raja will go very far ahead.” You know ID fought so much in 2005 contest just to keep Debo in the contest and all the other mentors are so political and always does smth to benefit their student, but Vishal always discourages his students by saying you are not good.
Oh God please accept my prayer and make RAJA the winner!

I am a big fan of Raja’s but am disappointed at his selection of songs recently. if he continues that trend hes gonna lose for sure. Mussarrat is definitely the second best and hes giving Raja a run for his money. Besides hes gettin a lot of support from Himesh whereas Raja aint getiing any from Visha-Shekhar. The only person who really admires Raja’s talents is Bappida.
Raja hassan is great singer and he is my best singer. i was really shocked when Harpret was eliminated.poonam is also good singer.Mauli dave is very sexy i love her not her voice.what she is doing in SAREGAMAPA challange 2007.
