Raja Hasan apologises for his lyrics goof ups - Audio interview
In an interview Raja Hasan has apologised for his forgetting lyrics twice - one during Piya re, and the second time during singing Tare gin gin ke. He explains both situations, accepting his fault.
We asked Raja to explain this mishap. “The first time I forgot my lines during piya re piya re. That was because sometime before singing the song I got to know of my elder brother’s paralytic attack. Before that also, I went through lots of difficulties. My mind wasn’t in place and I just couldn’t sing such a sweet song.”
“Then last time, I was having a problem with the language and in all the confusion, I missed the line. I am feeling shameful; I want to apologize for that. I will see to it that I will never make such a mistake.”
“All these mistakes depend upon fate and what God has in store for me. A batsman like Sachin Tendulkar also gets out for 0 sometimes. I said sorry while singing because I knew that I had made a mistake. Everyone kept calling me to tell me that I should not have apologized but saying sorry immediately after an error is an old habit. If I would have not said sorry then I would have received very bad comments, which would have been worse.”
Raja said he has decided that he will now only sing songs which he is comfortable with. “I will work hard and will try to remember the lyrics and then the sur. I feel more responsible after receiving highest number of votes.”
“I tried to improve myself during today’s episode (21st, Saturday). When Salmanji praised me, I really liked it. He listened to my song very calmly and did not make any masti with me,” the singer added.

To answer Simran’s question, I run this website and I am just a Raja fan like many others. This site is no way offically authorised by Raja Hasan or Saregamapa or Zee TV. Though I am trying to get in touch with Raja’s father, hope something comes out of it soon. Will keep you updated.

Hey RajaHasanBacker, just wanna say that u did an awesome job…im here in New York and I love this site, well actually i love Raja but im sure u gessed that. If u dont mind me asking, r u in India? I just wanted to know how people in india are reacting to Raja cause here in NY hes a star. I look forward to seeing the show every fri and sat nights, over here its about 12 hours delayed to i try not to look online because then the show gets ruined for me…i like the suspense…well anyway…def keep me updated if u can… shortiee23@aol.com…and let me know if i can do anythin to help u from NY…
Forgetting the lyrics is no great a mistake. It happens to the best of singers. And Raja is a human being to forget lyrics. It can happen with anybody. At the end of the day, what matters is Raja is a good human being apart from being a terrific singer.
But RajaHasanBacker, while I appreciate your efforts in hosting this site, I think the site has lot of scope for improvement. Right now, it is not all that user friendly.
Murali Mohan Saab, I do agree that this site is tad user-unfriendly at the moment. The site was setup in a tearing hurry and was put in one hour flat. I would really like to change the design/theme and make the colours a lot more subtle and readable. As well as make changes to the navigation. The only problem is that the site has such continuous traffic that I cannot afford a downtime. Maybe sometime in the middle of the week, I’ll make a few changes.
RajaHasanBacker, you hv done an osum job by havin dis website done… many of Raja’s fans like me were waitin to knw somethin abt this Terrific Singer!! I can be of help to u. too…. If we need to publisize this Human or want to compell or campaign ppl to vote..we can… i learned tht this man has come thru a lotta difficulties… as u r from his city, i would want you to see if his fans can help him n his family in any way!! awaitin ur response!
